The concept of the Tshirt design series shows Ambuya Nehanda Nyakasikana in bold and colourful style to fit in the ever-changing and vibrant culture of pop and streetwear the rays behind her back represent her Mane since she was a Mhondoro and still is in spirit, the necklace and the Zimbabwean bird she holds in her hands which is redesigned to look like the Sankofa ideogram. Sankofa is a word in Twi language of Ghana which translates as \u2018go back and get it\u2019, this design seeks to communicate to everyone especially the future generations to always look back for inspiration from our cultures, ancestors and traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
