About Me

Barbra-Breeze Anderson is a young Zimbabwean born and Munich based spoken word artist, writer and designer. Her writing incorporates a blend of contemplation, observation and imagery where she tackles topics about self-identification, love, politics, migration and inequality based on gender, race, religion and sexuality. From her first poetry slam in 2009 in Harare, Zimbabwe, she began to write as a means to communicate herself as a young black woman in a post-colonial African country. From 2011 Barbra began to organise poetry themed events in Harare and has performed at spoken word events and festivals in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana and Germany. In 2018 she moved to Munich, Germany where she is currently based.
